Mark Fraiman, M.D., F.A.C.S., is currently the surgical director of the Comprehensive Liver and Pancreas Center and section chief of Hepatobiliary Surgery at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Dr. Fraiman received his educated at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and holds several certifications including Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, and he is a member of prominent associations, such as the American Medical Association and the Chesapeake Vascular Society. |

Recognized for his excellence, at the age of 44 Dr. Fraiman rose to the positions of Head, Dept. of Surgery. Dr. Fraiman completed his general surgery training at Saint Agnes Hospital and went on to complete additional fellowships in vascular surgery, immunology, Hepatobiliary surgery, and liver transplantation. He is also completing his M.B.A. at Johns Hopkins University. In Nov 2005, Dr. Fraiman was named one of the Top Doctors of Distinction by Baltimore Magazine.
Dr. Fraiman completed his specialized training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), which is one of the highest-volume centers for the treatment of complex hepatobiliary procedures and liver transplantation in the nation.
At the Lois & Michael Hodes Comprehensive Liver and Pancreas Center at St. Joseph, Mark Fraiman, M.D., F.A.C.S., leads a multidisciplinary team of physicians in gastroenterology, hepatology and interventional radiology to give patients more options and advantages than ever for the advanced treatment of hepatobiliary disease.
Dr. Fraiman is one of a few doctors in the area performing complex hepatobiliary procedures. Now, advanced treatments for diseases such as pancreatic cancer, primary liver cancer, metastatic colorectal cancer, and bile duct injuries and cancer are available in a convenient, community setting.
